Fashion Week Columbus Experiences Epiphany of ‘Second Fitting’ En Route to Easton Preview

Hello all! As a Now It’s Dark update, Fashion Week Columbus experienced the epiphany of the proverbial ‘second fitting,’ moving even closer en route to the Easton preview.

Some of the best models in Columbus descended on the Park Street Saloon for the FWC designer accouterment modification.

Fittings help designers size their couture creations for their individual models to ensure the best look. They also give designers a change to work through accessories.

NID had an opportunity to preview some of the designs that will be unveiled during the October Fashion Week and Finale Show. Having seen the last three shows, it’s clear the event will continue its reputation as the best fashion show in the Midwest.

Lubna Najjar, an experienced designer and veteran of Fashion Week whose designs appear in New York Fashion Week shows also asked the models to demonstrate their walk — noting their skill level and the coaching that might be needed, while offering direction about hair length and styling for the event.

All the models were excited to see the designs in a closer to finished state. Judging by what Now It’s Dark saw, the public can expect many forthcoming aesthetic fashion pleasures and surprises.

Fashion Week Columbus’ next event at Easton Town Center is scheduled to take place Sept. 24.

Now It’s Dark will see you there!
