Nyoh’s brings Country to Columbus

Nyoh’s brings Country to Columbus — looking to go line dancing on a Tuesday night? While you have some options, I think that this must be the best bet around OSU campus.

Tuesday evening is “The Original Country Night” at Nyoh’s Buckeye Bar and when Now It’s Dark attended on Jan. 27  the venue was filled wall to wall with a college age crowd, many donning cowboy attire, making the room a kaleidoscope of denim and flannel. It’s a scene you’d expect to see in Texas, but this Columbus gem brings the backwoods to the Arch City.

It’s easy to find the room turning into a blur at Nyoh’s with their beverage specials, including beer in pitchers or buckets and mixed drinks served in their signature “Buckin Barrel” cups.

So you can’t dance, huh? Well that’s no excuse at Nyoh’s! Dance lessons are offered for those new to line dancing starting at 9 p.m. until 11 p.m. every Tuesday, Friday and Saturday. You’ll start with beginning steps and their friendly instructor will take you through a few different dances.

Not a country fan, but you like to dance? Check out their Wednesday night swing dancing.

Thursday is for the drinkers, with outrageous drink specials for “Thirsty Thursday’s” featuring $1 drafts

Even if you absolutely don’t want to dance, there’s still plenty of reasons to check this place out. There’s a cornhole tournament every Tuesday as well as pool tables and a spacious back patio that is wonderful when the season is right.
